The expanded Midtown YMCA will be a place where community happens — where children learn confidence, families build healthy habits, seniors stay active and connected, and neighbors come together in meaningful ways.
Designed to grow alongside our community, the expanded facility will provide accessible, modern spaces that support wellness, youth development, water safety, and community connection close to home.
The expanded Midtown YMCA will include:
More than a building, this project is an investment in the long-term health, safety, and vitality of our community. With the support of generous donors and community partners, the Midtown YMCA will continue to be a place where everyone is welcome and every person has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Support our vision for a happier, healthier, more connected community.

The Bruce B. Cameron Foundation is partnering with the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina to help bring the Midtown YMCA expansion project to life through a special community matching gift challenge.
To inspire community participation and accelerate the impact of the campaign, the Foundation will match every new gift dollar-for-dollar — up to $1 million.
Every contribution made through the community matching gift challenge will be doubled in impact, helping expand access to aquatics, youth development programs, health and wellness opportunities, and affordable child care for generations to come.
The 1887 Society honors visionary donors who are helping shape the future of the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina through philanthropic leadership and investment in the Midtown YMCA expansion campaign.
Individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who make a cumulative gift or pledge of $1,000 or more are recognized as members of The 1887 Society — named in honor of the founding year of the YMCA movement in North Carolina.
Membership in The 1887 Society reflects a shared commitment to strengthening our community and ensuring future generations have access to programs and spaces that help all people learn, grow, and thrive.
