Covid Update

We are excited to announce that we have re-opened all three of our YMCA branches with limited capacity, following the guidelines and recommendations outlined in the Governor's executive order and the CDC. Check out our new operating hours and schedules on our website. While we are excited to welcome members back inside, we recognize that the fight to stop the spread of COVID-19 isn’t over. When you come back inside, things will look and feel different at first. Many services will remain limited for now. To protect the health and well-being of staff and members, we have these safeguards in place:
  • Comprehensive staff safety trainings
  • Frequent cleaning and disinfection
  • Health screenings
  • Mandatory face coverings for ages 5+
  • Plexiglass shields at workstations
  • Physical distancing measures
  • Upgraded air filtration
  • Touchless check-in
  • Limited class sizes and occupancy
  • Access by reservation only
In an effort to keep our indoor numbers small, we're continuing our exciting virtual and outdoor fitness opportunities, keeping our pools open and delivering programs that improve spirit, mind and body. Click here to read more about our current programs and services, and what to expect when you return to the YMCA.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Face Masks Required

As of part of the Governor's recent executive order, members/guests/program participants ages 5 and older will be required to wear masks when using our facilities but not while exercising/swimming.

Nationwide membership

In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are only allowing Y members from the state of North Carolina to use our facilities at this time.

Financial Assistance

The Y is a 501(c)3 charity and is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world. Every day, the YMCA of Southeastern NC offers quality, affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all incomes and backgrounds. The Y is an essential part of our community and it belongs to everyone regardless of income, which is why the Y offers financial assistance to qualifying individuals and families who cannot afford membership.

Medicare Advantage Wellness Benefits

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina partners to provide wellness benefits for Medicare Advantage plans through FirstMedicare Direct Healthy State and through plans that include Silver&Fit.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2019, we will also partner with RenewActive by UnitedHealthcare. For Part B subscribers, we will also work with a Medicare Supplement through AARP's BeWell Program

Each of these options provides a YMCA membership. Some Medicare Advantage plans/supplement require fees and annual enrollment. Contact your insurance broker for details.

Membership through Medicare advantage provides full access to both our Midtown and Nir Family YMCA branches.

Our programs for active older adults help you stay active, improve health, and maintain community connections. We offer unlimited group exercise and water aerobics classes, as well as programs to help you manage arthritis, prevent falls, prevent and control diabetes, regain strength after cancer, and more. Clubs, group outings, and volunteer opportunities are also available.

Military Memberships
