YMCA Youth Day Camp at Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School
Every summer we offer new experiences and activities for hundreds of young people. The Y’s Youth Day Camp offers a classic summer camp experience filled with a wide array of activities in which your child can excel in. Each week is based on a theme, but regardless of the week, children will learn new sports and games, create arts and crafts, develop good sportsmanship, be a part of a team, build new friendships, swim, learn to be healthy and much more!
Each week, campers will take offsite field trips including the opportunity to relax in the movie theater watching a children’s film, swimming at our local city pools and splash pads, visiting our local parks, and engaging in a fun, local field trip such as bowling, water parks, the aquarium, and much more!
Emails will be sent weekly with information regarding field trips and important updates. Parents can enjoy peace of mind knowing their children will be active, have fun, & want to keep coming back day after day, all summer long!
Registration for Brunswick County camps opens at 11:00am on January 7, 2026.

At the Y, we think summer fun, new friends and positive role models should be available to every child. That's why we provide scholarships to families who need help making camp a reality. If your family needs a little help, scholarship applications are available online and are kept completely confidential. Funds are made possible because of the generous donations made through our Annual Giving Campaign. You can send a child to camp by making a tax-deductible gift online to the Y's Annual Giving Campaign.
