In times of crisis, caring for our community is more important than ever. With recent closures of schools, restaurants and many other businesses, families are adjusting to a new normal. We want to help you navigate through this crisis by providing safe opportunities for people to stay active, engaged, and supported. Below are links to various community resources that are available during this time of social distancing.
History for Kids
Seniors Ages 60+
Local Motive Mobile Farmers' Market: Delivery to seniors or immune compromised
Senior Resource Center: Must be in Congregate Meal Program
Weekend Meals on Wheels: Must be disabled individuals who are home-bound
Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC: Packing lunch boxes
Our Y is also available as a community resource for needs that may come up such as errands for seniors, tips on how to stay active and keep your kids active and learning, or partnership opportunities with other organizations to help serve those critical community needs right now. Please submit all community needs requests to Giles MacMillan.
