Investing in improving our facilities bring the Y’s mission of strengthening communities to life. Many of our branches have served generations for years and need updating. The improvements will address facility needs and position us to respond to growth and future community challenges and opportunities. Naming opportunities are available at several of our facilities.

Midtown YMCA Expansion

As our community continues to grow, the need for places where people can connect, stay active, and thrive grows with it. The Midtown YMCA is expanding to better serve our neighborhood and the families who call this area home. The expanded YMCA will include:

  • An indoor aquatics center
  • Expanded fitness and wellness spaces
  • Multi-sport courts and indoor recreation
  • More space for child care and youth programs
  • Welcoming areas for teens and older adults to connect

Nir Family YMCA Aquatics Addition

The YMCA is raising support to add a 50M indoor pool to its Nir Family YMCA campus to include twenty-two 25yd lap lanes and eight 50m lap lanes for competitive and recreational aquatic programs including:

  • Youth swim teams
  • Adult competitive swimmers
  • Water exercise classes
  • Swim and water safety lessons
  • Access to swimming through financial assistance

YMCA Camp Kirkwood Campground Enhancements

YMCA Camp Kirkwood is undergoing some much needed facility enhancements and improvements to continue providing quality camp experiences for generations to come. Some of these much needed projects include: 

  • Outdoor pool beach entry
  • Wastewater improvements
  • New restrooms in dining hall
