DOD Military Outreach Initiative
The Armed Services YMCA is proud to work with the Department of Defense to administer the Military Outreach Initiative. Established in 2008, the Military Outreach Initiative offers no-cost fitness facility memberships and respite child care services for eligible active duty military and their families nationwide. This initiative provides access to vital resources that promote mission readiness and family resilience.
Give the Gift of Health, Joy, and Community
Inspire health, happiness, and connection with the gift of a YMCA membership or gift card. It’s a thoughtful way to show you care while supporting wellness for a loved one.
YMCA Gift Cards are perfect for all ages and can be used for a wide range of programs — from fitness to family fun.
When you give a loved one a YMCA gift card, you're giving them...
Confidence: Youth sports like basketball and soccer build skills, teamwork, and self-esteem.
Friendship: Day and overnight camps offer adventure, connection, and lasting memories.
Safety: Swim lessons and aquatics programs teach life-saving skills and peace of mind.
Fitness: Personal training—virtual, in-person, or outdoor—helps loved ones reach their goals.
Community: Small Group Training combines expert coaching with fun and support.
So Many Ways to Use
Gift Cards can be used for sports, camps, swim lessons, child care, fitness classes, and more (not for membership fees).
Available in any amount at the Welcome Desk. Give a gift that inspires health, happiness, and connection—well beyond the holidays.

Insurance-Based Wellness Benefits
The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina partners to provide wellness benefits for Medicare Advantage plans through FirstMedicare Direct Healthy State and through plans that include Silver&Fit. In 2019, we started a partnership with RenewActive by UnitedHealthcare. For Part B subscribers, we will also work with a Medicare Supplement through AARP's BeWell Program.
Each of these options provides a YMCA membership. Some Medicare Advantage plans/supplement require fees and annual enrollment. Contact your insurance broker for details.
Please note: those interested in insurance-based memberships must visit one of our Y membership branches in person to set up their accounts.
