Insurance-Based Wellness Benefits

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina partners to provide wellness benefits for Medicare Advantage plans through FirstMedicare Direct Healthy State and through plans that include Silver&Fit. In 2019, we started a partnership with RenewActive by UnitedHealthcare. For Part B subscribers, we will also work with a Medicare Supplement through AARP's BeWell Program.

Each of these options provides a YMCA membership. Some Medicare Advantage plans/supplement require fees and annual enrollment. Contact your insurance broker for details.

Please note: those interested in insurance-based memberships must visit one of our Y membership branches in person to set up their accounts.

Additional Information

National Membership

We want to encourage members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace, or in another region. Now, any YMCA of Southeastern NC member has the flexibility to use any participating Y throughout the United States.

How It Works

Simply present your active YMCA membership card and photo ID at any participating YMCA and enjoy free access.

Medical Membership

The YMCA is able to offer Medical Memberships to members of our community who need access to quality, evidence-based programs, health coaching and workout facilities.

A YMCA Medical Membership is one where the patient is referred to the YMCA by a physician. Typically, the referral comes as a result of a health diagnosis such as pre-diabetes, adult and child weight management, cancer, high blood pressure or the risk of falls due to age or illness. Click here to learn more about our Medical Memberships.

Military Membership

In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Y is proud to offer memberships to eligible military families and personnel. It’s our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country. Please visit the Armed Services YMCA website to learn more about the program.
