Nir Family YMCA

 

The Nir Family YMCA is a state-of-the-art facility that offers wellness, sports, aquatic, and child care programs to the Greater Wilmington community. Our Nir Family YMCA includes a wellness facility, two indoor pools, gymnasium, racquetball/handball courts, outdoor track and athletic fields.

All Y memberships include access to our Midtown YMCA, Nir Family YMCA, Sampson County YMCA, and Ogden YMCA Activity Center in addition to hundreds of YMCAs across the United States. During the summer season, membership also includes access to the community's Outdoor Pools.

Schedules & Reservations

Active Y members can make online reservations to swim in our pools, reserve a hoop, play pickleball, or participate in classes. Select locations require reservations, and members can use the Y app or website to make reservations up to 22 hours prior to the activity start time. The Nir Family YMCA is extremely organized, great variety of workout options, very nice employees and trainers. The place is spotless (including the women's locker room). I love they have two pools (one for deep water aerobics that isn't too warm). It is perfect for me.

The facilities and personnel make this an outstanding Y. The staff is friendly and well qualified to lead the wide variety of activities and classes offered. The recent 6 lane pool renovation is a huge plus also. I find the patrons to be very friendly as well which adds to the enjoyment. The facility is always clean and that’s an ongoing endeavor by everyone, not just the custodial staff. 5 stars

Everything you need for a good workout.

Love the staff and group fitness instructors here! This facility is always clean and has everything you need for a good workout. I also really love the pool and sauna for a low impact workout and recovery. This place has definitely helped me get my groove back after taking time off from an injury!

Well worth the investment.

Wonderful staff, exceptional facility and very thoughtful kids programs. I honestly don't know what our family would do without the YMCA for afterschool and summer camps. It is well worth the investment. She has not only built some great relationships new friends and counselors but always comes away from the day with a huge smile. Thank you, thank you, thank you for providing such a wonderful and safe environment for our kids. The gym and pool are great too (haha)!

I love this Y!! The new facilities are beautiful all the staff are so friendly and helpful. They are constantly working to improve their services and programs and they incorporate members feedback when they can. I am there every day and have met so many wonderful people there.

People are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so positive. The classes are varied and challenging. The personal trainer, Jennifer Tinsley has helped so much. She has been instrumental helping me improve strength and balance. Only at the Y is there something for everyone!
