Birthday Parties

Celebrate your special day with a birthday party at the YMCA, where we offer a variety of exciting themes, or work with us to create a custom experience tailored to your needs. Our available party styles include Arts Parties, Sports Parties, eSports Parties, Kid Zone Parties, Cooking Parties, and Splash Parties. For a truly unique experience, you can opt for a Deluxe Party and combine two of your favorite themes.

Each party includes two hours of fun for the birthday honoree, complete with a dedicated YMCA staff member to host and ensure everything runs smoothly. Our experienced party host will supervise and facilitate activities, allowing everyone to enjoy the celebration stress-free.

 

All of our birthday party options include one hour of the activity of your choice—whether it’s free swim and pool games, arts and crafts, cooking, or any of our other exciting themes—followed by one hour in the party room where guests can enjoy cake, ice cream, and open presents.

We Provide

- Party host to lead activities
- Reserved use of a party room
- Access to party room for preparation 30 minutes prior to guest arrival
- Setup of tables and chairs for up to 25 children
- Access to the Family locker room (for Splash Parties)
- Splash Pad (at Nir Family YMCA for Splash Parties)
- Shirt for the birthday child
- Electronic copy of a birthday party invitation you may use
 

You Provide

- Food, beverages and tableware

- Adult Supervision (see rules & regulations)
 
 

Rules and Regulations

  • Party should be booked a minimum of two weeks in advance.  Be sure to allow for enough time to send out invitations and receive RSVP's.  
  • Activity shall be restricted to that area for which permission is granted and cannot extend beyond hours approved (in respect for other programs/events).
  • Room shall be left as found, there will be an additional charge for additional cleaning or property damage.
  • YMCA requires you to provide adult supervision for children. For every 3 children, ages 5 and under, you must provide 1 adult. For every 5 children, ages 6 and older, you must provide 1 adult. The maximum number of children is 25. For Splash parties, parents (using the supervision rules) must be IN the water.
  • Street shoes, food and drink will not be allowed in the pool area.
  • A swim test may be required for children wishing to swim in the deep end of the pool.
  • All pool rules must be followed. 
  • We strongly suggest that all members and guests lock their belongings in a locker. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items - please bring locks!
  • It's a party - have fun!

Meeting and Event Space

Our easy-to-find facilities offer meeting spaces with ample guest parking to help make your next meeting a success. Host a meeting, celebrate a special occasion or bring groups together just for fun! Organizations and individuals can rent the YMCA for dances, basketball games, the pool, emergency service training, athletic training, water tests and more. Rentals are approved on an individual basis. Below is a sampling of the spaces available for rent. (Rates vary by space.  Certificate of insurance required.)

Lunch 'N Learns

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina and local community organizations and businesses are partnering to offer monthly Lunch 'N Learns! These Lunch 'N Learns will be held onsite at either the Nir Family YMCA or the Midtown YMCA.

  • Virtual option will be available so attendees can watch from a distance. Please register for options!
  • All Lunch 'N Learns will be located on our calendar of events – be sure to register.
  • Lunch/snacks will be provided.
