Sampson County YMCA Announces Matching Challenge Grant from Anonymous Trust to Support Community Programs and Services

The Sampson County YMCA is thrilled to announce its participation in a generous challenge grant from Anonymous Trust, a philanthropic foundation dedicated to uplifting communities in Southeastern North Carolina. Anonymous Trust has committed to matching every dollar raised by the Sampson County YMCA up to $25,000 over the next few months. This matching initiative means that every contribution made to the YMCA during this period will be doubled, amplifying the impact on vital community programs and services.

The funds raised and matched through this challenge will support critical programs such as swim lessons that teach essential water safety skills and community health initiatives that promote wellness and active living. However, in order to receive the full $25,000 matching gift from Anonymous Trust, the Sampson County YMCA must raise $25,000 on its own. The YMCA is calling on the community for support to help them reach this ambitious goal by December 31, 2024.

“This is an incredible opportunity for the Sampson County YMCA and the community we serve,” said John Adams, Executive Director of the Sampson County YMCA. “We are deeply grateful for the generosity and support of Anonymous Trust. Their commitment to our community and their belief in the power of collaboration are truly inspiring. I encourage everyone in our community to join us in this campaign. Every dollar you contribute will go twice as far to support local programs that enrich lives and foster a healthier, stronger Sampson County.”
