Healthy Kids Day Set for April 26
Free and open to the community, this annual event features fun-filled activities to celebrate kids being kids in New Hanover and Sampson County
The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina and the Sampson County YMCA are excited to announce the 12th annual Healthy Kids Day®, on April 26, 2025.
Healthy Kids Day is a free, family-friendly event and dedicated to encouraging kids to stay active both physically and mentally as they head into summer. Families attending the event can participate in interactive activities, enjoy entertainment, and connect with local organizations offering valuable wellness resources.
"Healthy Kids Day is a special event for our community”, says Corey Maarschalk, YMCA Vice President of Youth Services. “It’s not just about promoting physical health—it’s about inspiring our youth to embrace active lifestyles, make positive choices, and connect with others in a fun and supportive environment. At the YMCA, we’re focused on building a stronger, healthier community, and this event plays a big part in that mission."
