Annual EmergeOrtho 5K Set for May 17, 2025
The EmergeOrtho 5K is set to take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), with the race beginning and ending on the UNCW track. The EmergeOrtho 5K is a celebration of the Girls on the Run, Heart & Sole, and STRIDE participants year end accomplishments. This fun and festive atmosphere brings the community together to celebrate friends, family and wellness!
Public runners are welcome and encouraged to participate, as this race provides much needed scholarships for future Girls on the Run and STRIDE participants with all proceeds supporting scholarships for future participants. This initiative ensures that more children have access to programs that foster self-esteem, character development, and healthy lifestyles through running.

- Location: UNCW Track, Wilmington, NC
- Registration: Online registration is required and remains open until 30 minutes prior to the race start or until capacity is reached. Onsite registration will not be available. Registration includes a race shirt, finisher medal, and fun for the whole family!
- Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female masters, and the top three male and female finishers in various age groups ranging from 6 and under to 70 and above.
Over 40% of Girls on the Run and STRIDE participants utilize financial assistance. The continued support from the title sponsor, EmergeOrtho, has been instrumental in providing these opportunities.
