Exciting things are happening at Camp Kirkwood! This fall, we are beginning an important project to strengthen our wastewater system, ensuring that Camp Kirkwood can continue to welcome campers, families, and retreat groups for years to come. These updates are an essential part of preparing the camp for future growth while maintaining the safe, fun, and magical experience our community loves.

The project is being expertly guided by McKim & Creed, whose experience ensures this work is done thoughtfully and efficiently. We are deeply grateful for the support of Friends of Camp Kirkwood, the YMCA, and state grants that make these improvements possible. Their generosity allows us to invest in critical infrastructure that keeps our camp thriving. Local leaders, including Representative Carson Smith, have also shown strong support for this effort, helping us move forward with confidence.

While these upgrades are happening, daily camp operations will continue as usual. This project is about more than pipes and systems, it’s about preparing Camp Kirkwood for the future, so that generations to come can continue to enjoy all that makes this place special.

We’re thrilled for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share updates as we advance our facilities to meet the growing needs of our camp community!
