The YMCA of Southeastern NC is excited to partner again with the City of Wilmington in operating Legion Stadium, Northside and Robert Strange Pools this summer! Along with the traditional opportunity for public swim, the Y will be providing swim lessons, water aerobics, and a number of other aquatics programs to the community.
Anyone who is not a Y member must fill out an application for a Summer Access Pass before using the city pools. Once you fill out an application you will receive a Summer Access scan card that will grant you access to each of the city pools. Registration is free, but the daily fee to swim at the City Pools is $1 per child and $2 for adults. No one under the age of 18 can register without being accompanied by their parent or guardian.
The Northside Splash Pad is a great way for families to stay cool this summer. This fun-filled water playground is great for small children, who might not be ready for the full pool experience. The splash pad will open during the hours that Northside Pool is open to the public. The splash pad is free to everyone, including community groups, to use. The splash pad does fill up quickly however, so groups are encouraged to call ahead. The number for Northside Pool is 910-341-7865.
