Why Offer Free Swim Lessons?
Because we are the YMCA - that’s what we do! Our driving mission is to change lives by supporting and connecting with our community, and Swim for Life is just one of the ways we can better serve our community’s needs.
Program Fees
Safety Around Water is a free program offered to the entire community! Program costs are covered by the generous donations made through the Y's Annual Giving Campaign. Help the Y make an even greater impact on our community by making a tax-deductible donation online to our Annual Giving Campaign. We have many generous sponsors including the Jack Helbig Memorial Foundation, Brunswick Community College, Premier Printing & Apparel and Pier2Pier swimming race. This program would not be made possible without our sponsors and our generous donators, like you!
Location
The YMCA offers Safety Around Water year round. In the Spring and Fall, we offer this program at the Nir Family YMCA and Sampson County YMCA. In the Summer we offer this program at the Robert Strange and Legion Stadium pools.
