Water Aerobics

Adults looking to challenge themselves without stress on their joints or members who just enjoy the water can take advantage of our water exercise classes. Instructors lead small groups through water aerobics, core strengthening and much more. Gain muscle conditioning and cardiovascular endurance from the aerobic choreography and water resistance. These classes are ideal for all fitness levels including non-swimmers.  

Pool temperature will be maintained between 84-86 degrees. Water Aerobics classes are included in YMCA membership, however, community members are welcome to join if they purchase a day pass.

Reservations Required To Participate

Active Y members can make online reservations to swim in our pools, reserve a hoop, play pickleball, or participate in classes. Online reservations are required to participate in classes or use our facilities.

Classes

AquaFit: This is a low-impact strength, cardio and mobility routine in the pool. Use pool noodles to get a full body workout through a variety of exercises all in the water!
Deep Water Aerobics: A challenging workout in deep water without the stress on the joints that provides aerobics and core strengthening. 
Shallow Water Aerobics: A intermediate workout in shallow water that provides aerobics and core strengthening.
Shallow Water Cardio: A challenging aerobic workout involves water jogging and cardio-elevating exercises in shallow water for cardio and core strengthening. This class incorporates water appropriate equipment to isolate specific balance muscle groups.
