Y-Zone is the YMCA's new, state of the art, small group personal training program. In a 1200 sqft studio at the Nir Family YMCA, participants choose from 3 different Y-Zone programs. The programs integrate heart rate monitoring from MyZone.
Looking to take your workouts to a whole new level? Burn is the answer. This 45 minute high intensity workout will focus on challenging muscular and cardiovascular strength and endurance. Incorporating a series of total body movements will activate multiple muscle groups, this metabolic workout is a game changer to reach your fitness goals.
Want to achieve maximum results with less impact on the joints? Circuit is the answer. We will provide a unique full-body workout that helps you to work all areas of the body. This program will help you move better, lose weight and strength/tone your muscle. Delivered in a fun and energetic way, you’ll love what Circuit has to offer.
Getting your heart rate up and sweating is always great, but it has to be met with a time to refresh your body and that’s where Recover comes in. This low-intensity program focuses on three key components of fitness: Flexibility, Mobility and Stability. Delivered in a fashion that allows you to learn by doing, your body will thank you after each and every session.
The MZ3 Belt enhances your workout by helping you understand your heart rate zone and maximize your fitness potential. This technology syncs with most Bluetooth devices and will project on a big screen TV during Y-Zone training. The free MyZone app will give you history and details of your workouts, as well as provide MyZone Heart Rate Match workouts. Retail price on Amazon is $129. Required: Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of their first Y-Zone class. This is to get the MyZone monitor registered/fitted as well as to orient to the room. If a participant does not arrive early for their first class are given two options. One, to defer their first class to the following week or proceed with the first class without the heart rate monitoring.
Not Required: MyZone MZ3 Belt. We will have loaners available for class however we encourage participants to invest in their own monitor. However, monitors are not required for participation in the program.
