Military Financial Assistance
YMCA Camp Kirkwood is proud to offer financial assistance to qualifying military families seeking opportunity to be a part of Camp, Day and Overnight. Please allow 2 to 4 business days for us to process your application. You may continue to register online to ensure you receive your preferred week of camp. YMCA Financial Assistance
The Y is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world. Every day, the YMCA of Southeastern NC offers quality, affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all incomes and backgrounds. The Y is an essential part of our community and it belongs to everyone regardless of income, which is why we offer financial assistance to qualifying individuals and families who cannot afford membership.
Each year the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina provides more than $400,000 in financial assistance locally. These funds are raised through donations made to our Annual Campaign and through special events and grants.
Who Qualifies
We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We also consider special circumstances when providing assistance so please include any and all information you feel is applicable to your current situation.
Recipients are expected to be responsible for a percentage of their program and membership fees. Qualification for financial assistance is reviewed every year.
